About the piece: Inspired by my love of Shakespeare, this piece captures the famous opening line of the play Twelfth Night, spoken by Orsino in Act I, Scene I. Designed to represent his dramatic infatuation with Lady Olivia, the imagery shows how easily one can get swept away with the idea of being in love — succumbing to the crescendos of a symphony, and confusing true affection with obsession. The warm, parchment-toned color palette is a nod to both vintage paper scrolls and a sheet of musical composition of the era.

About the piece: Inspired by my love of Shakespeare, this piece captures part of the famous monologue from the play Romeo and Juliet, spoken by Juliet in Act II, Scene II. Designed to represent her lamentation of Romeo being her forbidden love, the imagery shows a bold rose bunch, standing true and unapologetic in nature — similar to her feelings that their love is pure and true, and that a name should have no bearing over them. The bright, pink-toned color palette is representative of the luminous essence of their love, burning bright despite the dark shadow of generations of family feuding rivalry.

About the piece: Inspired by my love of Shakespeare, this piece captures the famous line from the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, spoken by Helena in Act III, Scene II. Designed to represent her frustrations with her friend Hermia, the imagery shows a clutter of tangled vines, symbolizing Helena’s snarled feelings over the sudden romantic overtures of Lysander and Demetrius, and how she feels she is the butt of a cruel joke amongst the group. The forest-green color palette is a nod to the physical forest scene, as well as the vicious temper of Hermia.
